TiBor grain refining rods are fed into the molten metal to reduce the size of the grains in the end product for enhancing final product quality and are always part of a DC casting line for extrusion billets and rolling slabs as well as part of continuous sheet casting lines.
Thermcon rod feeder systems are available mounted on either mobile or static pedestals for feeding TiBor rods into the launders between holding furnaces and casting machines. Brackets for the suspension of rod coils can be fixed to match the particular casthouse operation allowing coil handling by overhead crane or forklift.
