Continuous or batch
The choice between a continuous or a batch solution for the homogenizing process often depends on the uniformity in the log quality.
When uniformity of log quality is important, the continuous homogenizing concept is often chosen. When there are different soak times in the production, the batch concept is often selected.

Batch homogenizing concept

The IUT batch homogenizing concept can be fully automatic with a handling trolley to move batches to the ovens / coolers in locations on one or both sides of the trolley rack.
Due to the modular design it is easy to expand the plant for increased capacity. The system can be used for different applications, e.g. logs, billets and/or coils.
IUT can also offer a "small batch system" more like the continuous homogenizing concept regarding its flexibility.
