Storage furnace for aluminium and Al alloys
Large series production of castings of Al-Si alloys for the automotive industry necessitates storage furnaces which hold the metal at the required temperature inexpensively, protect the metal against gas absorption and supply the metal at a constant temperature without segregation. At the same time, a transfer of the melt to transport ladles in charges to supply the casting line or for metal treatment must be possible at any time.

For this application, INDUGA offers a special induction heated storage and holding furnace which is cost-effective and environmentally friendly. It is discharged under pressure via a siphon, thus allowing dross-free liquid metal to be tapped.
